FAQ
Players collect tickets, and each ticket gives them a chance in the next draw. Tickets are earned through your platform activities, and every ticket a player holds is automatically entered into the upcoming run of every eligible draw. The more tickets a player accumulates, the higher their chance of winning. When a draw runs, winners are selected and announced, and players can be notified across your communication channels.
Many ways, and you control which. Tickets can be awarded manually from a player's profile, given through marketing campaigns and automation rules, handed out as rewards from missions, tournaments, mini-games, lootboxes, or prize drops, or sold as a "Raffle Ticket" store item players buy with points. This means a raffle can sit on top of behavior you already reward, turning existing activity into draw entries.
Yes. If you run, say, a daily, a weekly, and a grand draw together, a single ticket given to a player gives them a chance in the next run of each of those draws, as long as the draw settings and the ticket's eligibility period allow it. You can also set a ticket eligibility window so only tickets earned within a certain timeframe before a draw qualify.
A draw can run one time on a specific date, a few times on set dates, or recurring on an hourly, daily, weekly (days of week), or monthly (days of month) basis. Recurring short-interval draws, like hourly, are a good way to sustain interest and encourage players to come back through the day. Each draw is its own entity with its own name, prizes, and schedule.
They're two separate controls, which gives you flexibility. "Who can participate" defines which users can earn and accumulate tickets; if someone earns tickets and later leaves that segment, their existing tickets stay valid. "Who can see" controls only visibility in the widget; a player can still earn tickets and win even if the raffle isn't shown to them. Separating the two lets you, for example, run a behind-the-scenes raffle or reward a group without surfacing it to everyone.
Opt-in turns a draw from a passive background event into an active touchpoint. With it enabled, a player must press "Join" for a specific draw run to be eligible, holding tickets alone isn't enough. It's run-specific: once a run executes, everyone resets to "not joined" and must opt in again for the next one. Importantly, opting in doesn't deduct or change a player's ticket balance; it only marks their current tickets as eligible for that run. Use it when you want players to actively engage each time rather than win in the background.
A range of prize types: bonuses, gems, diamonds, points, a mission, a ticket in the raffle, a spin attempt in a mini-game, or a tangible item. Each draw can hold multiple prizes with set priorities. One detail worth knowing: prizes display from top priority down, but the draw awards from the lowest priority upward, so the biggest prize is always given out last for a build-up effect.
Prizes can be locked behind ticket thresholds at either the individual or the community level. A prize might unlock only once a player reaches a personal ticket count, or once all players collectively hit a global threshold, which builds shared anticipation. You can add multipliers that players track via a progress bar around the prize, and introduce extra prizes when a global milestone is reached to push engagement further.
Several caps. You can limit the total tickets issued per raffle and per user over a recurring window, cap how many prizes are awarded, set the maximum times a single player can win the whole draw, and set the maximum times a player can win a specific prize (both applying across all runs of a recurring draw). One practical caution: the maximum ticket count per raffle is one million, so giving a ticket for every bet will hit that ceiling fast; it's better to tie tickets to more meaningful actions.
Through events. Raffle ticket grants, failed ticket issues, and draw wins all fire events you can act on. You can send a real-time campaign when a player wins, run an automation rule (like a webhook to an external system) whenever a player's ticket balance changes, or build missions and badges around tickets, such as "collect 10 raffle tickets." Before publishing, the Summary tab also lets you sanity-check whether your setup is likely to be profitable, and track engagement once it's live.
