Role Overview
We’re looking for a Head of Sales who can strategically drive new business opportunities while laying the groundwork for a robust B2B sales organization. Initially an individual-contributor role, you’ll work closely with our founder and partnership manager, both experts on the product - to close deals. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated sales team.
This role is global in scope. You will attend industry exhibitions and events, leveraging your established network to secure high-value leads. You’ll also collaborate closely with our (soon-to-be-hired) marketing function to align marketing initiatives with sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Process Implementation
- Develop and refine a global B2B sales strategy specifically for the iGaming market.
- Define and establish standardized sales processes, from prospecting to closing.
- Identify and implement the right CRM tools, sales methodologies, and performance tracking processes.
2. Business Development & Networking
- Leverage your industry presence and reputation to attract new leads and partnerships.
- Attend and represent Smartico.ai at iGaming exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
- Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers across the iGaming sector to accelerate our pipeline.
3. KPIs & Performance Management
- Define and set clear KPIs for sales performance (e.g., pipeline growth, lead generation, conversion rates).
- Continually optimize sales processes and strategies based on data-driven insights and market feedback.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work hand-in-hand with our founder and partnership manager, who conduct demos to potential clients.
- Coordinate with marketing to ensure aligned messaging, targeted campaigns, and seamless lead nurturing.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports and forecasts to executive leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven iGaming Expertise: A respected track record in B2B sales within the iGaming sector.
- Senior-Level Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in a sales leadership role, preferably in a global capacity.
- Strategic Mindset: Demonstrated ability to devise and execute sales strategies, including market research, prospecting, and key account management.
- Process-Oriented: Skilled at implementing CRM (e.g. Pipedrive) systems and sales methodologies from scratch.
- Strong Network: Established relationships and reputation in the iGaming community that instantly add credibility to our brand.
- Excellent Communication & Negotiation: Capable of building rapport with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to Travel: Open to frequent travel for exhibitions, client meetings, and on-site visits in Bulgaria.
